This workshop is designed to help participants assemble and manage teams effectively to achieve research and funding goals. In the first part of the workshop, attendees will learn about what to consider when assembling a team to apply for a grant. Topics include how to identify the expertise needed for their proposed project, the role of team personality, and how to analyze your needs with the help of tools like a task analysis. In the second part of the workshop, attendees will learn about what to consider after the team has been assembled. Attendees will learn how to effectively plan for challenges and structure their team in a way that reduces challenges, but also how to manage conflicts when they inevitably arise. Participants will be equipped with tools and resources to build successful project teams and manage team dynamics.
