Description
This course enables students to learn and apply the fundamentals of nutrition in maximizing athletic performance. This course will reinforce knowledge of the digestion and metabolism of macro- and micronutrients. Students will be able to describe the role of sports-enhancing practices including hydration, fueling, supplementation and use of ergogenic aids. Contemporary topics in nutrition and fitness will be discussed.
Prerequisites
NUTR.2060 Human Nutrition, and Nutritional Science, or Exercise Science major, or Permission of Instructor.
