The SDASL attended the 39th International Modal Analysis Conference at the beginning of February 2021.

The SDASL Lab attended the 39th International Modal Analysis Conference at the beginning of February 2021. Of course, this presented a very different way in which SDASL participated in the conference.
At the conference, nine students presented papers along with other papers and presentations by faculty. At the conference, many students and former alumni joined together in this virtual event. The SDASL always makes a significant set of presentations at this international conference every year. Many of the papers spanned a wide range of topics currently under development in the SDASL for funded and unfunded projects. Many of the conference attendees noted the high caliber of research and especially the quality student presentations at the conference.

NOTE: This paper coauthored with Professor Zhu Mao is selected as 2nd place in the 2021 Best Paper Competition in the Computer Vision and Laser Vibrometry. According to the Technical Division: "This award was established to recognize authors of outstanding papers presented at IMAC. Papers are judged for their value as contributions to existing knowledge of computer vision and optical techniques and primarily with respect to their value as an original contribution to the subject matter. This award is sponsored by Polytec, and also provides a $500 prize."
