Applied Biomedical Sciences Minor
Students interested in acquiring knowledge and hands-on skills in clinical, diagnostic, and biomedical research laboratory work can pursue the interdisciplinary minor in Applied Biomedical Sciences offered by the Department of Biomedical & Nutritional Sciences.聽
To qualify for the Applied Biomedical Sciences minor, students must earn a combined GPA of at least 2.500 in the following courses:
- HSCI.1010 / HSCI.1020 翱搁听BIOL.2520, OR BIOL.1110 / BIOL.1120
- Two semesters of Physiological Chemistry (HSCI.2510 / HSCI.2530听&补尘辫;听HSCI.2520 / HSCI.2540) OR Chemistry (CHEM.1210 / CHEM.1230L听&补尘辫;听CHEM.1220 / CHEM.1240L) with labs.
- Either a biochemistry course (HSCI.3500, BIOL.4190, CHEM.4500), OR cell biology course (e.g., BIOL.2200), OR genetics course (e.g., BIOL.2350).
The minor in Applied Biomedical Sciences consists of at least 18 credits.聽Students must attain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.500 in their minor courses to earn the minor.
