Honors Course Requirements

The Honors College has eight Honors Curriculum Requirements which are detailed in the following table. Honors requirements are designed to overlay with your chosen degree pathway. Students must earn a B or better in an Honors Course in order for it to count towards their H1-H8 requirements.

H1First Year Seminar in Honors (FYSH)
If necessary, this may be replaced by taking a dedicated honors Arts and Humanities (AH) / Social Sciences (SS) core curriculum course.
H2An honors section of College Writing II
If necessary, this may be replaced by taking a dedicated honors AH/SS core curriculum course.
H3Any upper-level Honors Seminar

  • A course that supports the second half of a two-semester Honors Project or Thesis
  • A course that supports a one-semester Honors Project
