2024 GIC Annual Open Enrollment April 3 - May 1

Changes made take effect July 1, 2024.

Annual enrollment time gives you the opportunity to review your benefit options, choose a new health plan or make other benefit changes if you wish.

Review the as it provides an overview of benefits for active state employees including health plans and new rates effective July 1, 2024.

During annual enrollment, if eligible, you may:

  1. Enroll in or change health plans.

  3. or, if already enrolled, apply for reduced non-smoker rate if you have been tobacco-free for at least 12 months.

  5. for the new plan year effective July 1, 2024. Please note: For Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) you must re-enroll if you wish to participate in a health care or dependent care FSA effective July 1, 2024. FSA Enrollment is done thru the plan administrator on the .

What to do if you are not registered for the portal:

First you will need a PIN. You can request a PIN through the MyGICLink Employee Portal .

Please note: the email with your PIN will come from the sender myGICLINK. If you do not see the email in your Inbox, please check your Junk/Spam folder as many times the email does land in that folder.

Once you have your PIN, please log in to the . Once in the site, please click the tab in the upper right-hand corner titled Register.

What's New This Year

Health Insurance Plan News:

Effective July 1, 2024, UniCare is changing its name to Wellpoint to reflect their mission of supporting GIC members鈥� whole health. You can view the frequently asked questions (FAQ) and more on , to learn more.

New Health Insurance Rates for all health plans take effective July 1, 2024. Refer to the Employee Rate Chart on page 5 of the .

Other Benefits:

Flexible Spending Healthcare maximum election amount increases to $3,200 for new plan year effective July 1, 2024.

Action Required by You

  1. Review the .
  2. Review your current GIC benefits thru the GIC Employee Portal at .
  3. If you wish to keep your current GIC benefits, no action is required and your benefits will remain in place at the new rates effective July 1, 2024.
  4. If you decide to make changes to your existing GIC benefits, new enrollments, cancel benefits etc. it is done thru .
  5. Flexible Spending Account (FSA) requires you to re-enroll if you wish to participate in the new plan year effective July 1, 2024.
  6. FSA Enrollment is done thru the plan administrator TASC on the .
  7. Open enrollment requests must be completed no later than Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
