Over 100 emergency phones are located at strategic points on campus.
External phones are identified by their blue poles with 鈥淓MERGENCY鈥� stenciled on the side and topped with a blue light.聽
Internal phones are identified by a silver face with a red emergency button. When the red emergency button is pushed, the caller is in immediate contact with University Police.聽
In addition to providing voice contact with a police dispatcher, emergency phone use also enables a dispatcher to pinpoint the caller's location.
