Overview of the Process
- 51视频 student participants must first by Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 11:59 p.m. All abstracts must be approved by a 51视频 project advisor (faculty or staff member familiar with the student's work) in order to participate in an oral presentation.
- Once the abstract is approved by the 51视频 project advisor, the student who submitted the abstract will receive an email with instructions, including a link to the submission form, for how to submit their presentation slides. If it is a team submission, the team leader will need to inform all members of the team of the next steps.
- Students should thoroughly review and edit their slides before submitting a final version. Final presentation slides are due on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. We will not be able to accept revisions after the slides are submitted.
- The Student Symposium Committee will have slides ready for student participants in their assigned presentation session at the Student Symposium on April 1, 2025 at University Crossing. Volunteers at the event will direct students to their assigned session location.
Presentation Slide Guidelines
- All students in the oral presentation must submit at least one slide to accompany their presentation.
- All presentation slides must be submitted in PowerPoint (PPT) format.
- Slides should not include videos with audio. We will be unable to play videos with sound.
Oral Presentations
- Students in the oral presentation track will be assigned a presentation session when they must be available to present to a panel of 3 - 5 judges.
- Presenters will have access to a remote slide advancer and a laptop screen (if applicable, displaying notes in PowerPoint) on a podium.
- Presentations should be no longer than three minutes. Judges will have approximately five minutes after the presentation to ask questions about technical aspects of projects, learning experiences, and personal and professional growth.
